Nearly 200 Quebec employees and investigators were recently laid off or relocated, says New Democrat MP

BROSSARD — Following the wave of cuts that resulted in nearly 200 Quebec employees of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) losing their jobs, MP Hoang Mai (Brossard–La Prairie), National Revenue Critic, condemns these job losses and the reduction of criminal investigations by the agency.

BROSSARD — Conservative government cuts to the public service will throw 110 people out of work in Montérégie, says New Democrat MP Hoang Mai (Brossard‒La Prairie).

According to Public Service Alliance of Canada data, seven positions at Service Canada and five positions at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will be cut in Brossard.

 LA PRAIRIE — Residents of Brossard‒La Prairie are worried about the impact that the Conservative government’s proposed budget will have on their lives, said NDP MP Hoang Mai after the public consultation on Bill C-38 last Saturday.

Mr. Hoang Mai (Brossard—La Prairie, NDP) Mr. Speaker, at some point the Conservatives need to realize that there are serious ethical problems at the Canadian Revenue Agency.
